Wednesday Wish List 9.3
Hello again! It's great to be back after some very busy days. I can proudly say I passed my Finance exam I mentioned last week. Big accomplishments around here. The weather hasn't stayed cool long enough to break out my boots and cords just yet, but I'm sure getting excited. I decided fall is my favorite season. As a kid, summer was always my favorite season because, well, August is my birthday month, I was on summer break, and that meant more time spent playing outside with my kittens. Now I love the comfortable weather in fall where I don't break a sweat the minute I walk outside, but it's still warm enough so a parka is not necessary. Plus, I love fall clothes. What's your favorite time of year?
Skirt Have you seen the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection for Target? He designed some really great pieces. The bags and scarfs look so much more expensive than they're priced! My favorite piece is this navy A-line skirt in navy. Navy is a huge color for fall this season. I'd wear it with some cute heeled ankle boots with short socks sticking out. // After Dallas Shaw posted this photo, I pretty much had to have that sweater. Apparently it's not for sale, so I found this similar one, but it's just not the same...and it's expensive. // Print Even if I'm not from the South, it's fun to pretend sometimes. When I was a kid my siblings would tell me I had a Southern accent. I never understood where it came from, but secretly I liked it. So to all my siblings, even though you thought you were teasing me, you weren't! // Wedges Can you believe I've never owned a single pair of Toms? I think it's about time to hop on the bandwagon and get myself a pair. These are absolutely perfect for fall. // Scarf Plaid scarf to throw on with anything.

Wednesday Wish List 9.2
Quilted Jacket It's almost fall which means it's time to break out the moto jackets! Love the green color on this one. I have a hard time finding the right fit for moto jackets. Nothing is worse than ordering online and finding out the jacket is too tight in the arms or too big everywhere else. Does anyone know how Zara's jackets fit? Big? Small? // Can't stop swooning over these Bonny boots. Can you say perfect fall boot? I'm hunting for a similar, more affordable pair with the black and tan combo but am having no such luck. {Sigh} So far these are the closest I've found from Zara. Still cool but not quite as high swoon factor going on. I wear a size 9 if anyone's feeling generous today. Just kidding. But seriously. // Vegan Leather Clutch This week I was introduced to Mishqua, quite possibly the coolest lady and handbag collection ever. There isn't one item I don't want! // Camo Pants These need to get in my closet now. I'd like to think I've been a fan of camo for a few years now (My boyfriend is a big hunter so that counts, right?) but my closet says otherwise. I'm loving all of this camo but please don't go for the head to toe look like the Robertson family on Duck Dynasty. No bueno. // Tray One can never have enough trays on the nightstand, desk, shelf, and bathroom vanity for displaying dainty jewelry and a collection of Fresh lip balms.
I have a special place in my heart for all of those affected and the first responders of 9/11. Let's remember them and what each one did to help in such a time of need.

Wednesday Wish List 9.1
Ship in a Bottle Print I'm still looking for a few more prints for my gallery wall and instantly fell in love with this. Plus, it's only $10! // Double Finger Wood Ring Last night I discovered this crafty jewelry shop that uses almost all organic materials for their jewelry. Everything has a cool, natural feel using different kinds of wood, ceramics, and leather. // Fresh Brown Sugar Fragrance Carroll and Lauren surprised me with a birthday present this past month and ever since I've been hooked on this sweet and unique scent that I need to stock up. // Skinny Jean This fall I'm digging dark green and camo. // Feline Tee Have you noticed all the different graphic tees popping up lately? This Celfie (get it?) tee is pretty clever inspired by the Céline craze, and WhoWhatWear's LOVE tee is cute but they sold out so quickly I didn't get my hands on one. I'm a cat lover so this tee is even more perfect.

Wednesday Wish List 8.2
With this week Iowa heatwave and all the buzz on New York Fashion Week, I think I am finally ready for fall. Despite the fact that fall leads into winter....and that means 4 months of miserable cold weather and snow, fall is one of my favorite times. Especially for fashion. There is just something about cozy sweaters, corduroy, and boots.
Last week I attended the J.Crew Style Sessions (Shout out to the fabulous and ever so stylish Katelyn, Sam, and Kiley whom I met at the event!) promoting their new fall collection and fell in love with every piece. Not that that is unusual or anything -- it's actually seems to be a recurring thing! Chambray shirts, corduroy pants in every shade (I got the dark red), and boots on boots on boots. How's a girl supposed to choose?
I did some deep thinking and managed to limit my fall wish list to a few pieces...for this week anyway.
Classic Stripe Lace Up Who doesn't love a cute pair of tennies? // Printed Point Flat A super versatile flat and I love the pointy toe. // Printed Skinny Jeans I will admit these look a bit scary. Had it not been for Sally's fabulous outfit I would have never considered these. I have yet to purchase a pair of printed jeans but with this price, they are too good to pass up. // Baseball Cap I have been loving the sporty, relaxed look these days. Dressing for class and dressing for work call for 2 totally different wardrobes. For class I like to be comfortable yet stylish. A baseball cap means I can sleep in and extend my blowout one more day... // Madewell Henley Again, it's all about the easy pieces that still look great.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Wednesday Wish List 8.1 (kind of)
With installation for my apartment makeover scheduled to start in less than 2 weeks, all I can think about are finding the finishing touches. Naturally, that's all I want to blog about too. Are you dying of suspense yet?
This week I'm having a little trouble deciding on pillow shams. I already have my sheets and my comforter, but I still need a couple pillow covers. I've narrowed it down to 4 so I need your help in making the final decision. My comforter is all white and sheets have a grey print. I like a little mixing and matching so it doesn't look too perfect.
All of the options are from Zara Home and on major sale. I can't decide if I should go with a print to spice things up or something a little more subtle since I love the all white bedding look. Thoughts?

Wednesday Wish List 7.5
Can you believe it's already the last day of July? Doesn't every summer seem to go even quicker than the year before? Though I'm sad to see summer soon come to an end, August is my birthday month so I still have a reason to celebrate! I will also be going on my first vacation in over a year so I am counting down the days. Much. Needed.
Kain Dress Dresses that are nice enough I can play up with pretty jewelry and heels or play down with sandals are winners in my book. The dark red color is just icing on the cake. // Pocket Tee Can never have enough tees. This one from Anthropologie is perfectly comfy and slouchy. Not to mention I have my birthday gift from Anthropologie of 15% of everything. Nothing like doing a little shopping for my birthday. // Love That Red lipstick by Revlon. Lately I've been playing around with bright lipsticks. Lipstick hasn't always been my thing but I'm having fun with reds and bright pinks. It really changes your entire look. Mary over at M.A.S. Fashion said this one by Revlon called "Love That Red" is her go-to. // White Skort Spotted all over the blogosphere, this skirt has definitely proved to be incredibly versatile. I've seen it worn with everything from a grey tee and statement necklace to a button up and heels. I like the more casual look and would wear it with a tee and my Converse. // Felicia Flat With fall approaching it's almost time to break out the flats and retire the sandals. I like these neutral cow print ones by Sam Edelman which I would wear with everything. Animal print might be my favorite neutral.
Tomorrow I have an exciting series starting here on the blog so be sure to check back! It's been in the works for a month or so and I'm so pumped to finally share it with you guys!

Wednesday Wish List 7.4
Summer is flying by and it's a little scary to think it's almost over. In almost a week it'll be my birthday and then before you know it school starts up again. Eek. I better cherish the few precious weeks left. With fall quickly approaching, stores are getting rid of their summer gear and breaking out the cozy, fall clothing. The last couple days I've been working on a fall fashion trend guide for a client and I must say there are some goodies for the upcoming season. Plaid print anyone? However, with the recent heat wave I'm still in summer mode. What's the fun in buying fall clothes if you can't wear them yet?
Shirt Dress Shirt dresses are flattering and comfortable. Plus the denim makes it super cool. // Splatter Paint Pillow Cover Isn't this just the cutest? I'm thinking about getting these for my bed, but I wish they were the bigger Euro sham instead. // Tie It Up Top One of Kate Spade Saturday's newest prints and it might be my favorite yet. Many of the tops look a bit short, any general thoughts on how their tops fit? // Zig Zag Watch If you haven't noticed a trend yet, I am mildly obsessed with Kate Spade Saturday. Which explains why 3 items on this week's Wish List are from there. The entire collection is bright and playful and reasonably priced -- what's not to love? I have yet to actually purchase anything yet, so I think I might have to real soon. A sportier version to switch out with my Fossil watch for class. Plus, Molly at A Piece of Toast has a black watch which means I need one too. // Abstract Clutch I'm all about a fun clutch these days. The bright colors and fun print make me happy.
That's all, folks!

Wednesday Wish List 7.3
Hello again! I thought last week was hectic but I think this week might have topped that. Moving does that to you, I guess. Monday and Tuesday I made the library my home since we didn't have the Internet set up -- which explains why a blog post didn't go up on Monday. After a minor panic attack since discovering I wouldn't have Internet for a few days, I made the most of the situation and worked on what I could. I did happen to catch some extra zzz's since I wasn't working until the wee hours of the night! No worries though, the Internet is up and running as of today.
Last week I wrote about my obsession for the style of the ladies at A Piece of Toast, and this week I'm bringing that same thought process while curating my wish list: What Would Molly Wear?
Slim-Sleeve Top Sleeveless button ups are all the rage this season and still look work appropriate for summer. // Linen Pineapple Pocket Tee A plain white pocket tee with a fun twist. I can never have too many, especially when I wear them all the time. No more digging through the laundry for my single white tee. // Knit Tunic Dress Perfectly beachy yet nice enough to wear day to day. // Agate Bookend Spruce up a bookcase or coffee table with these bookends. // Evil Eye Ring I just can't get enough of dainty gold jewelry. Whether it's necklaces, bracelets, rings, I want to pile them on.
How are you guys? What's on your wish list?

Wednesday Wish List 7.2
What a week! I am moving into a new apartment next week (only to move again into my own apartment once school starts up in August. I wouldn't suggest moving twice in one month.) so this entire week has consisted of packing boxes and getting things organized...all while juggling group projects and finishing the last week of my classes while also starting my new internship. All very exciting things so I can't complain!
If you haven't already visited Social Stylate and read my internship announcement be sure to check it out!
Rag & Bone Mila Shorts Yes, those are mini motorcycles. Fun prints like this get me every time. // Acrylic Tape Dispenser Who says office accessories can't be chic? Just like a coffee table or shelf, your desk needs styling too. // Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish Her entire line of nail polish is full of pretty colors packed with glitter and sequins. // Denim Vest Recently I've been loving denim vests over dresses. It toughens up a super sweet dress and gives a laid-back vibe. // Porcelain Print Dress Blue isn't usually a color that sticks out to me but for some reason this dress really grabbed my attention. I need more pretty pieces that don't take lots of layers to look put together in my closet.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Wednesday Wish List 7.1
Happy almost Fourth of July! Nothing like a relaxing summer day and an excuse to celebrate with good eats and drinks. I plan on sipping on some tasty drinks later tonight. How do you plan to celebrate?
Suede Carry All Pouch I've been searching high and low for a leather clutch that doesn't cost a fortune. American Apparel has a huge selection with different sizes and tons of colors to choose from. // Gold Outlaw Bracelet Dainty gold jewelry is always wanted. You can never have too many bracelets to stack. // Print My apartment walls are bare white and since I'm not allowed to paint them, I will be adding bright colors with fun wall art. This print is one of my favorites I've seen yet! Aren't the colors just beautiful? I am trying my best to steer away from having so much pink in one room...as much as I'd like to go crazy and decorate using every shade of pink imaginable, I admit it can be a bit much. If I decide to purchase this print I am making a rule of no more pink allowed... // Collar Necklace I need more statement necklaces in my life. Seriously, they are incredibly versatile. My favorite is pairing them with a graphic tee and torn boyfriend jeans and calling it a day. // Pompom Basket Fun baskets like these are perfect for decorating shelves and hiding little trinkets.
Have a great 4th!

Wednesday's Wish List 6.4
You might have noticed the blog got a little facelift this morning and I am thrilled with the results! The layout and organization was a bit of a mess before so I am happy to have things in good order thanks to Carrie Loves Design! She was great to work with and super speedy at implementing it! I placed my order last night and it was set to go this morning. What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts on the new blog design so leave your comments.
It's funny how your peers totally influence what you currently wear/want. Have you noticed that? Now that I've been working at ULTA and chatting with the girls (and Bare Minerals boy) about products, I can't help but want to try all of their favorites myself. I have my own skincare and makeup routine but after talking about primers and foundations all day I get the urge to want to try new products, new brands. The Napoleon Auto Pilot Primer is one of them. Currently I'm not using a daily primer but after our conversation and learning the effects this one has on calming the skin and making your foundation stay wayyy longer, I think I might have to give it a shot, even if it means adding one more step.
Concealer can be tricky. Finding the perfect one that won't crease or look cakey is quite a fete. Just wait until you see the Fakeup Concealer by Benefit. The actual concealer part is surrounded by a moisturizer. I can't wait to give it a try!
This Hatteras Bracelet is handmade by the duo at Anna Croswell. Isn't that stone just gorgeous?
A different take on the standard maxi skirt. Moon Rise Stripe Maxi Skirt
Can you believe I don't have a chambray shirt yet? Slightly embarrassing. For years I've been meaning to purchase one but I've found that the right shade of denim and soft feel is hard to come by. I like the small print on this one. Geo Chambray Shirt
Happy Wednesday, friends!

Wednesday's Wish List 6.3
If I had to choose one store that I had to shop at for the rest of my life it would definitely be Anthropologie. Their beautifully designed and always unique pieces give any wardrobe interest. I like to call them statement pieces. Full of bright colors and unique prints. Great items to build an entire outfit around that you can guarantee no one else will have when walking down the street. Their swimsuit collection alone is a stunner. As a kid I remember getting the catalogs and flipping through, pointing everything out I wanted. Little has changed.
This past weekend I went to Anthropologie and every time I"m like a kid in a candy shop. Even every inch of the store layout is perfectly decorated with window displays of wooden crates and flowers. Since the price point is a bit spendy, I usually head straight to the sale section. Which isn't all that bad because they have an awesome assortment.
I gathered an armload of stuff and checked out the rest of the store. Seriously, have you taken a glimpse at their home decor? Pretty dishes, towels, bedding, oh my! I might as well deck out my entire house in Anthropologie. You can view the goods I got in my June recap blog post at the end of the month featuring my monthly buys :)
Today Anthropologie announced their big sale with up to 50% off items! The selection is bigger than ever --and a top I picked up last week is now on sale. Grrrr....
For this week's Wednesday's Wish List I decided to choose my favorites from the Anthropologie sale selection. I would easily wear just about everything in the entire store, but sine I can't feature the entire website, I chose my absolute favorites.
Want an easier way to know when your favorite brands go on sale? Hukkster is a convenient app that lets you add specific items to your list and once they go on sale you will be notified by e-mail! Perfect.
My picks from L to R:
Tonal Knit Blazer
Ginger Gold Blouse
Time Lapse Tee
Melati Romper
Oxford Peep Toe Wedges

Wednesday's Wish List 6.2
Summer is almost half over so I hope you are enjoying it! Crazy, huh? I have not enjoyed the weather as much as I'd like to so that is slightly disappointing. Lately the sky is filled with clouds and rain so there have been few opportunities. Today, the sun decided to bless us with its presence so I am soaking it in as we speak (or type, whichever you prefer).
Essie Colors // I go in streaks when it comes to painting my nails. Sometimes I want perfectly manicured nails with fun colors and other times the sound of painting my nails every few days (chipped nails aren't so hot) turns me off. For some reason spending the half hour painting my nails sounds tortuous. If I only had to do it, say once a week, I feel like I wouldn't dread it as much. I've been experimenting with products lately to help prolong the paint wear and once I perfect it, I will let you know :) Have you ever checked out all of the Essie colors available on their website? Holy moly. Denim Dress // There is something about the summer heat that makes throwing on a dress sound soo nice. I like the relaxed look of this one that makes it appropriate for errands. Throw on your Converse and head out the door. Calendar // 2014 may seem like months away and to be honest, it can stay far away. But this colorful little calendar is the perfect daily dose of happiness. It even has templates on the back to use the old months as cards or gift boxes. With this calendar 2014 is pretty much guaranteed a success. Yasmin Dress // If this dress doesn't scream summer I don't know what does. Comfy and back cutout perfection. Yes, please. Alterna Texture Mist // My hair is naturally wavy --not the air-dry-and-go wavy that looks cute without effort. Spending time straightening it in the morning only to have the lovely Iowa humidity bring out the wave is useless. I'm hoping a texture spray will give my hair the control it needs. Do you have a favorite beachy waves spray I should try?
Enjoy the rest of your week, friends and thank you for reading!

Wednesday's Wish List 6.1
Sunburst Eyelet Shorts // Right now I have only a couple pairs of shorts. Some white ones, black ones, couple pairs of jeans shorts and one floral print pair. This summer I wanted to make it a point to get fun, printed shorts and so far, I've failed.
Scallop Hem Shorts // Leaf prints are one of my favorite trends this summer. Throw on a black tank, strappy sandals, and some dainty gold jewelry and call it an outfit. Pieces that don't take lots of layers or accessories to look put-together are what summer is all about.
J.Crew Stripe Sleeveless Top // I'm continually drawn to black and white stripes. Whether it's pants, shorts, maxi dresses...It's almost impossible to go wrong with something so classic and versatile. By the way J.Crew is having yet another sale!
Eames Inspired Chair // I'm having a major moment with Eames. Since I won't be spending $400 on a chair anytime soon, it's going to have to be a replica. I found these on Amazon sold for one fourth of the designer price.
My Greek Island Home // Something about the turquoise waters and stark white structures of Greece really take my breathe away. I've always had a love for the beautiful country so when I came across this book and saw the pictures inside I instantly wanted it. Some pages might even be worth framing. Hello, gallery wall. Image via.
Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday friends!

Wednesday's Wish List 5.5
Since it's been raining pretty much all day, I spent most of my day reviewing and taking a test, but I did also find time to get the sewing machine out and ready to go for my new apartment makeover that I blogged about on Monday. Very exciting!
It's the last Wednesday of May which is crazy and hard to believe, so here they are -- my favorite picks of the week.
1// Printmaker Blouse Last time I was in Anthropologie I saw this sweet little top and debated about it but headed home empty handed. Now that it's on sale I might have to pick it up.
2 // Ira Pocket Tee Last month I purchased a Splendid henley top and it has quickly become one of my favorite tops in my closet. The material and cut is incredibly flattering. A short sleeve version would be amazing for summer.
3 // Canoe Pencil Case There is something about a mini canoe pencil case that makes me want to grab a sketchbook and do some drawing.
4 // St. Tropez Everyday Face Moisturizer/Tanner Thankfully, my face does not tan very easily (I'd like to slow the process of aging as much as possible). However, I do not like having a pale face while the rest of my body is tan. The thought of smothering self tanner on my face kind of scares me but this one is moisturizing enough it could replace your current moisturizer.
5 // Wooden Ice Cream Spoons Ice cream is one of my guilty pleasures. These wooden spoons would be super cute for the summer while enjoying a bowl of my favorite mint chip. A touch of neon never hurt.

Wednesday's Wish List 5.4

1. Forever21 Striped Maxi Dress // Maxis are a versatile item in your Spring and Summer wardrobe. Layer them up for those chilly days and keep it light when the temps warm up. For the last couple years now I have wanted a stripe maxi dress, and for $15, this one might be the winner.
2. Asos Tweed Jacket // Tweed is a surprising staple this Spring, which is fine by me since I couldn't get enough of it this past Winter. Pairing jackets and button ups with jean shorts is one of my favorite looks for the season. Perfect for low key brunch or a day shopping.
3. Club Monaco Amber Short // This picture doesn't do these shorts justice. You must go to the website and see the cute little scallop hemline for yourself. Another thing? Stripes make an outfit cool without even trying. I've seen the pants version, but I think the shorts are a bit more wearable yet still have the I just threw these on without trying yet look totally put together vibe.
4. Tribal Pendant Necklace // Tribal accessories always have a place in my heart and closet. The bright colors and pretty beading are so pretty and add interest to a plain white tee and jean shorts.
5. Baby faux deer head // Funny story. As you know, I like combining natural elements with chic accessories in my home. When I was looking for a faux deer head to put above my bed, Jordon kindly offered to kill a real one for the real thing (he's a big hunter). The offer was sweet, but I think I'll stick with faux :)

Wednesday's Wish List 5.3
1 // Lace Skater Dress Spring has arrived and wedding season is upon us. That calls for new party attire. Of course, I could always wear a dress already hanging in my closet (I still might), but you can't wear the same dress for every wedding. Facebook and Instagram have made repeating outfits a little more difficult. Memorial day weekend I'll be headed home and attending my first wedding of the year. After some dress shopping I'm thinking about maybe wearing this dress. Lace is always a plus in my books (as stated in my bio) and that coral color gets me every time.
2 // Out Of Africa Dress Or should I wear this instead? Fun prints are irresistible these days. Two totally different look. I can't decide...
3 // Baublebar Bib Necklace I'd wear this necklace with the Out of Africa dress. Summer is about having fun with colors and mixing prints and I will definitely be taking full advantage of that.
4 // Tudor City Holly Wallet Kate Spade is having a surprise sale with 75% off sale items that ends tonight. Subscribing to the often annoying store e-mails do have their perks! Just another reason to browse Kate Spade during my lunch hour. This mini wallet is what I've been needing for months and it finally went on sale!
5 // Ocean Drive Stripe Purse The ultimate summer purse with a long strap that I have actually preferred lately, but I'm trying to decide if I really need it. Hmm...all of these sales need to end so my bank account can take a rest!
Have fun shopping!

Wednesday's Wish List 5.2
1. Heels always make an outfit look more put-together and glam. Imagine if I told you a pair of flats would do the same. Well, it's true guys. This entire collection of flats are amazing. Don't they look totally comfy yet glam? These and the studded T strap are my faves. If you don't believe me go check out Devon and see how she styled them and you will want a pair too.
2. Earrings that are simple enough to wear again and again yet unique enough to be paired with basics are hard to come by. Say hello to By Boe.
3. For some reason this orange color appears extremely versatile, no? Maybe it's just me. Either way, I'm liking it, and the clean shape.
4. I am looking for some more containers to hold my small jewelry and I found these really interesting shaped ones. I especially like the coral "A" box, though I'm not sure it's supposed to resemble...
5. The pink and orange combo is really growing on me lately. I might have to wait until this thing goes on sale (if it ever will) or start saving my pennies.

Wednesday's Wish List 5.1
So many posts in so few days! I've been blogging like mad these last few days to get these blog posts up. I have some other projects I'm working on and I can't wait to get going on them the rest of the week and show you some sneak peeks.
Here are a few things I'm loving from around the web...
1// Rugs USA
Apartment decorating is still on the brain. This rug would be perfect in the living area. If I purchase a pricey rug I want to make sure it's one I'll use for years. Would pink tire me after a while? Any advice?
2// Valencia Gray Pin Tuck Duvet.
If it was practical to switch my bedding every week I totally would.
3// Block number studs.
What numbers would you get?
4// Julep DD Creme.
How clever. Kind of like a BB cream but beyond. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect BB cream, especially now that summer is approaching and this just might be it. Pre-order yours here.
5// Balloon Girl by Tiffany Mitchell.
Her youthful watercolor fashion art are perfect hung in a bathroom or sitting on your vanity. Don't you just love their rosy cheeks?
6// Ginger Jar Scarf.
A nice layering scarf.

Wednesday's Wish List 4.4 {J.Crew Lovin'}
I would pair this collared tee with some neon crop skinnies and classy kitten heels.
A white button up shirt is extremely versatile and effortless and considered a necessity in my opinion. Wear it with skinny jeans and flats for the weekend or throw it over your bathing suit. No matter what, you can't go wrong.
Neon is all over this Spring and I am really enjoying it. It's a fun and easy way to amp up any outfit.
You can never have too many button up shirts. Especially when they are so flattering on -- it's all about dressing for your body type. Besides blazers, these are my go-to.
I have always loved baseball style tees. This sweater is the perfect mix of cool and casual.
